We offer full tuning for all Harley Davidson motorcycles. From stock carburetor tuning on Evos and Twin Cams to jetting S&S E and G carbs to fuel injection and ignition mapping on the biggest of the big. Everyone runs a different package, cubic inches, pipes, intake, even two bikes that look identical on the outside will often require different main jets and ignition settings or injection maps due to minor differences in fuel pressure, injector flow, port shape, compression ratio and any number of other factors.
On injected bikes, the map your dealer loads onto a bike is just somebody's 'best guess' at what that combination will need. Chances are your bike needs a custom map, a dyno session will optimize your fuel injection for YOUR bike. Its not a tough sell when the bike is running poorly, but many who have spent thousands on custom engines don't realize that significant gains in rideability and horsepower are available with just a dyno-tune.
On carbureted bikes the same rules apply. Usually the mechanic has picked jet sizes and ignition settings based on other bikes they have built, and they may be close, but one main jet or pilot jet size off from what your engine needs and fuel economy and or horsepower can be adversely affected. Optimizing the ignition on bikes without knock sensors is critical, making sure the spark is in the correct range to make horsepower but not damage the engine.
